Unlike many other testimonial plugins out there, WP TestimonyPlushas been developed to be more flexible as you can fully customize thedesign and layout of not just the testimonial but the forms as well. Additionally, you can add as many styles and forms as you need andlike. Once the plugin has been activated, you should see fromthe left adminpanel its plugin option. How to Create a Testimony/Testimonial How to Create Groups In order to create a testimony/testimonial, you would need to createagroupfirst to facilitate the display of testimonies/testimonials accordingtowhichproduct and/or services it belongs. 1. Hover your cursor over the WP Testimony Plus menu itemfromtheleftadmin panel then click Groups. Alternatively, you can create themenuitem itself then from the plugin’s testimonies page, click the Groupstabas shown in the following images. 52. Once you are inside the Groups page, click the green Add Groupbutton.3. Supply the following fields with the corresponding appropriate information. 6 Title. Fill in this field with a unique name, which could either bethe name of the product or service, that can help you easilyidentify this group from the rest for management purposes.  Description. Enter a short description of the group createdtofurther add information for easily determining the groupduringmanagement.  Order. Should be supplied with a numerical value from0onwardsthat would determine the order of how the groups will bedisplayed. 4. Once all fields have been filled in, checked and finalized, click theCreateGroup button to save and add the group. How to Manage Groups 1. To edit or delete previously created groups, hover your cursor over theplugin’s menu item from the left admin panel. 2. Once inside the Groups page, you should see a list of your previouslycreated groups that are listed in order you specified when youhavecreated each. 3. On the far right section of each group is an icon that when clicked, displays an option to manage the group. 4. Click Edit Group button to make changes on the previous entryof thegroup. And, click Delete Group should you like to delete the group. 7How to Add Testimonies/Testimonials With this plugin, you have 2 options how to add testimonies/testimonials. First, manually add testimonies/testimonials through the plugin andtheother one is to let the user fill in and submit the testimony/testimonial formspecific to a group(product or services). How to Add Testimonies/Testimonials Manually 1. Click the plugin’s menu item from the left admin panel or hover your cursor over it and click Testimonies to access the Testimoniespage. 2. Once you are inside the Testimonies page, click the Add NewTestimony button. 3. Supply the necessary fields with the appropriate information andconfigure the necessary settings according to your preference. 8 Author Name. Supply this field with the name of the person/company who/that provided the testimony/testimonial. 9 Author URL. Enter in this field the complete URL of the author/company, if applicable.  Author Info. Fill this field with any information relatedtotheperson/company providing the testimony/testimonial suchastheposition (e.g: CEO, Supervisor, Executive Assistance).  URL for Author Info. Enter the complete URL that supportstheauthor info, if applicable.  Open URL in New Tab. Turn the switch On if you prefer tohavethe links open a new tab or window whenever a user clicks onit.  Author Email. The email of the person/company.  Title for testimonial. The heading of the testimonial whendisplayed on your site.  Content for testimonial. Use the WYSIWYG editor to enter thecontent of the testimony/testimonial the person/companyhasprovided.  Activating Single Page. Turn the switch On if you wouldlikeaspecific testimonial to have a single page that includes further content of the testimony/testimonial.  Content. Supply this field with the full contents relatedtothetestimoy/testimonial where it is linked from. Contents suppliedinthis field will only be available if the Activating SinglePagehasbeen turned on. Thumbnail Settings  Type. Choose the type of medium you would like to be displayedwith the contents of the testimony/testimonial.  Image.  Select Image. Click the Select Photo buttontoupload the image of the person/company fromyour computer or select a previously uploaded one fromyourthe WordPress media library.  Link URL. Supply this field with a complete URLof where you would like to redirect the user shouldhe/sheclicks the thumbnail image.  Open URL in New Tab. Turn the switch Ontoopenanew tab or window when the user clicks the thumbnail image. 10 Video. Note that this option is not available in theliteversion of the plugin  Preview. Click the Select Photo button to uploadapreview/splash image of the video.  Video URL. Supply this field with the completeURLof the video to be played when a user clicks the thumbnail. Open video in Modal Window. Turn the switchOnif you would like to display the video in a modal/pop-upwindow instead of going off the site to render thevideo.Attributes  Group. Choose from the dropdown which group shouldthistestimony/testimonial belongs that would later be used toset theshortcode to display testimonies/testimonials.  Order. Supply this field with a number from0 onwards that woulddetermine the order of the testimony/testimonial whendisplayed.4. Once all necessary fields and settings have been filled in, configuredandfinalized, click the Create Testimony button to save and add thetestimony/testimonial. How to Manage Testimonies/Testimonials 1. To manage previously created and/or submitted testimonies/testimonials,start off by clicking the plugin’s menu item from the left adminpanel. 2. Once you are inside the Testimonies page, all testimonies/testimonialsthat have been created or submitted will be listed and beside eachof itisan icon to manage the individual testimonies/testimonials. 3. Click the icon then the green Edit Testimony button next, to makechanges on testimony/testimonial. 114. Click the red Delete Testimony if you would like to delete the testimony/testimonial. Note that once you confirmand proceedwiththisaction, all data will be lost and removed. How to Display Testimonies/Testimonials andTestimony/Testimonial Form(s) How to Display Testimonies/Testimonials Before you can actually display testimonies/testimonials on your site, youwill need to have at least 1 style to assign and use to display testimonies/testimonials. How to Create a Testimony/Testimonial Style 1. Hover your cursor over the plugin’s menu item fromthe left adminpanel then click Styles. Optionally, you can click the menu itemitself andonceinside the Testimonies page, click the Styles tab next. 2. Once you are inside the Styles page, click the green Add NewStylebutton to start adding styles for your testimonies/testimonials. 123. Configure the settings as preferred and supply the fields with theappropriate information. 13 Title. Enter in the field a unique title that would easily helpyouidentify the style from the rest when managing styles. Main Box Style Options. This section contains options to set thestyle of the main box where all the main information of the person/company providing the testimony is contained.  Position. Determines the position of the main box relativetothetestimony/testimonial content.  Background Color. Select Color then use the built-in color picker to select the background color you want to apply tothemain box. Turn the switch to Transparent if you wouldliketomake the main box background to be transparent.  Border. Supply the input field with a numerical value equivalentto the border width in pixels then use the color picker toset theborder’s color.  Border Radius. This option determines the applicationandextentof border radius to the main box.  Shadow. Determines whether to apply a shadoweffect andthesize of the shadow casted on the main box.  Bubble Arrow. Turn the switch On if you would like to enableanarrow from the bubble pointing from the main box.  Quote Icon. Turn the switch On to display the quote icononthetestimony/testimonial icon.  Alignment. Determines the alignment of the icon and testimony/testimonial content.  Hover Effect. Choose an animation effect that will be appliedonthe testimony/testimonial whenever the cursor is hoveredoverit.Note that this option is not available on the lite versionof theplugin. 14Content Options  Show Thumbnail. Turn the switch On to display the thumbnail image of the person/company providing the testimony/testimonial. Show Author Information. The switch determines whether toshow or hide the author information. Turn the switch Ontodisplay and Off to hide.  Show Rating. Turn the switch On to enable the display of theratings the person/company has provided to the product or services he/she purchased.  Italic in Text Testimonial. Turn the switch On to applyitalicfont style to the testimony/testimonial content and Off if youprefer to display the contents normally.  Link More Title. Supply this field with the label of the buttonthatopens the single page of the testimony/testimonial. Leavingthisfield blank will set the button to the default label Read More.  Layout Options  Layout Type. Determines how the testimonies/testimonialsaredisplayed on a post/page.  Grid. Displays the testimonials in grids dependingonthenumber of columns specified.  Column. The number of columns to display thetestimonies/testimonials.  Pagination Link. Turn the switch On to enablethepagination feature to navigate in viewing testimonies/testimonials.  Slider. Displays and renders the testimonials in aslider.  Slide Effect. Determines the animation effect of howthe slide moves to the next slide.  Slider Animation Speed. Supply this field withanumerical value equivalent to how fast the animationisrendered in milliseconds.  Slider Animation Delay. Fill the field with a numberthat corresponds to the animation delay to be appliedon the slider in milliseconds.  Navigation. Define the method of navigationyouwould like to implement when moving betweensliders. 15Button Style  Button Style. Use the dropdown to define the button styleof theread more button linking to the single page of the testimony/testimonial.  Button Color. Use the the dropdown and select fromthepredefined colors you would like to apply to the read morebutton.4. Click the Create Style button to add and save the style. How to Manage Testimony/Testimonial Styles 1. To manage testimony/testimonial styles, start by moving your cursor over the plugin’s menu item from the left admin panel then clickStyles.2. Inside the Styles page, you should see all your previously createdstyleslisted and beside each style is an icon that will trigger options tomanageeach style. 3. Click the Edit Style button to make changes on the style. 4. Click the Delete Style button to delete it. Note that once the styleisdeleted, it will no longer be available for use and all date previouslysaved shall be deleted as well so proceed with caution. How to Display Testimonies/Testimonials Now that you already have all the available information required todisplaythe testimonies/testimonials, the following guide will walk you throughongetting your testimonies/testimonials to show on your pages or posts. 1. Add new or edit an existing page or post where you would like toaddtestimonies/testimonials. 2. Once you are inside the WordPress editor, make sure that youareinVisual Editor mode and the toolbar toggle has been enabled. 163. Click the blue bubble icon. 4. A popup window should be triggered containing necessary fields youwould need to configure to display the desired testimonies/testimonialson the page or post. 17 Group. From the dropdown, select what group you wouldliketodisplay the testimonies/testimonials from.  Order By. Select from the dropdown how you would liketheordertestimonies/testimonials to be and whether to display it inascending or descending order.  Limit. Supply this field with a numerical value that is equivalentto the number of testimonies/testimonials that should beavailablefor display on the page or post.  Style. Use the dropdown to select one style to apply onthetestimonies/testimonials that will be displayed on the pageor post. Product Being Reviewed. Supply this field with the nameof theproduct or service that the person/company is making atestimony/testimony of. Leaving this field empty will default totheproduct or service name supplied in the plugin’s settings page. 5. Once you have provided all necessary information in every field, checkedand finalized, click Insert Testimonials to generate the shortcodethatwill enable the display of the testimonies/testimonials on the pageor post. How to Display Testimonies/Testimonials in Sidebars 1. To display testimonies/testimonials in sidebars, navigate to Appearance-> Widgets. 2. Search for the WP Testimony Plus widget with the heading Testimonials.3. Drag the widget to the desired location in the sidebar. 4. Once you have placed it in the sidebar, supply the necessary fieldswithyour preference to display testimonies/testimonials. 18How to Display Testimony/Testimonial FormIn order to display a testimonial form to a page or post, you will needtocreate at least one form to use. How to Create a Testimony/Testimonial Form1. Hover your cursor on the plugin’s menu item fromthe left adminpanel then click Forms. You can also click the menu itemitself and onceyouare inside the Testimonies page, click the Forms tab. 2. Once you are inside the Forms page, click Add NewForm. 3. Supply the fields with the appropriate information. 19 Title. Supply this field with a title that can help you identifythisform easily from the rest for management purposes.  Description. Fill this field with a short or detailed descriptionforwhat group this form is intended to be used to easily identifyit should the need for forms management arises.  Input Name. Enter in the first input field the label of theauthor’sname and on the second input field the placeholder.  Input Email. Enter the label of the email field of the forminthefirst input field and the placeholder on the next input field. 20 Input Testimonial. Supply the first field with the label of thetestimonial field of the form and the next field with the placeholder.  Input Testimonial Title. Turn the switch On if you wouldliketooffer the testimony/testimonial provider the option to addatitleto the testimony/testimonial. If the switch is turned on, supplythefirst field with the label and the second field with the placeholder. Input Author Info. Turn the switch On if you would liketohavethe author info to be available for users to fill in when submittinga testimony/testimonial. If the switch is turned on, supplythefirstfield with its label and the second field with the placeholder.  Input URL. Turn the switch On if you would like to providetheuser a field where they can add the URL of the author infowhensubmitting a testimony/testimonial. If the switch is turnedon, supply the first field with its label and the second field withtheplaceholder.  Input Rating. Turn the switch On if you would like to offer theusers the ability to add a rating with their testimony/testimonial. If the switch is turned on, supply the input field with thelabel of the field.  Submit Button Label. Fill this field with the label of thetestimony/testimonial form submit button.  Save Testimony to Group. From the dropdown, select whichgroup should the submitted testimony/testimonial be addedwhensomebody fills the form.  Thank You Message. Use the WYSIWYG editor to createamessage that will be displayed once a user successfully submitsatestimony/testimonial.  Error Message. Use the WYSIWYG editor to compose amessagethat will be displayed on the screen when there is an error uponthe submission of the testimony/testimonial form.  Send Notification Email. Tick this checkbox to notify thesiteadministrator that a new testimony/testimonial has beensubmitted through this form.  Send Email To. Enter the email of the recipient that will receivethe email notification. Leaving this field empty will default tothesite administrator’s email address. 214. Once all fields have been filled in, checked and finalized, click CreateForm to add and save the form, ready for use. How to Manage Testimony/Testimonial Forms 1. To manage testimony/testimonial forms, start by moving your cursor over the plugin’s menu item from the left admin panel then clickForms.2. Inside the plugin’s Forms page you should see all forms you havepreviously created listed, each has this icon on the far right portionthatwill trigger management options. 3. Click the Edit Form button to modify the form. 4. Click the Delete Form button to delete the form. Note that onceyouhave confirmed the action, this is irreversible and all data previouslysaved will be permanently removed. How to Display a Testimony/Testimonial Form1. Add new or edit existing page or post where you would like to insert atestimony/testimonial form. 2. Make sure that the WordPress editor is in Visual Editor mode andthetoolbar toggle has been enabled. 223. To add the testimony/testimonial form to the page or post, clickthegreen form icon. 4. This should trigger a popup window containing options that will generatea shortcode to display the testimony/testimonial formon the pageor post. 5. Once you have filled in the necessary fields, checked and finalized, clickInsert Form button to automatically generate the appropriate shortcodeto display the testimony/testimonial form on the page or post. How to Display Testimony/Testimonial Forms in Sidebars1. To display testimony/testimonial forms in sidebars, navigate toAppearance -> Widgets. 2. Search for the WP Testimony Plus widget with the heading FormTestimony. 233. Drag the widget to the desired location in the sidebar. 4. Once you have placed it in the sidebar, supply the necessary fieldstodisplay the testimony/testimonial form. WP Testimony Plus Settings General.  URL Slug. Supply this field with your preferred content touseasthe base when structuring the link of the testimony’s/testimonial’ssingle page. Rich Snippet Settings. Settings under this section handles rich snippetswhich are detailed information displayed on search engines to helpuserswith specific queries.  Activate Rich Snippets in Shortcodes. If this optionis enabledthen Schema.org Aggregate Review data will be added tothelayouts generated by shortcodes.  Activate Rich Snippets in Widget. If this option is enabledthenSchema.org Aggregate Review data will be added to the layoutsinwidgets.  Activate Rich Snippets in Single Page. If this optionis enabledthen Schema.org Aggregate Review data will be added tothesingle page entries. Product or Service being Reviewed. The search engines need toknowwhat is being reviewed. Use one of the two options below to definewhat product or service is being reviewed. In addition, you can also set acustomproduct or service name for each layout you create with editor shortcode. 24 Use Groups as Products. Turning the switch On will automatically set the group where the testimony/testimonial issaved to be the product or service reviewed.  Default Product/Service Name. Supply this field withthedefault product or service name reviewed by the testimony/testimonial. Thumbnail  Use Gravatar. If the switch is turned On, the plugin will checkif a thumbnail image has been supplied by the author. Otherwise, the plugin will check for the Gravatar service to find out if thereisan account registered on the email and use the
